Sharing with you my 3rd collaboration with one of my favourite brands atm: Femme Luxe. 4 amazing and super flattering styles I’m obsessed with!
Dressing for a summer wedding is all about looking sophisticated, while keeping it cool. Light and airy fabrics like silk, chiffon or linen will be your best allies to avoid overheating during an outdoor wedding.
It’s better to be overdressed than underdressed, so when in doubt wear a long evening dress, a dressy suit or a formal cocktail-length dress.
There are certain occasions where the modest look of a knee length dress is more than appropriate.
Daytime weddings call for something between semiformal and formal, so the best option here is to wear a cocktail dress or a dressy skirt and top.
If it’s an early wedding, light colours and fabrics are the best choice. That was exactly my case, so I decided to wear this beautiful pink one shoulder cocktail-length midi dress.
I love everything about this dress, how it hugs my curves and it’s a unique fabric.
Apparently matching tops to bottoms can sound easy, but it takes a ‘something special’ to nail this trend. The key to keep it trendy is choosing modern cuts, fabrics or prints or the right accessories to avoid looking retro like in a bad way.
We have a banch of possibilities to go for co-ord styles: prints, fabrics, colors, cuts, textures…Love this trend because it is so versatile that allows us to be really creative and have fun, which is actually what fashion is all about.
My favorite ‘match’ is to style any bottoms with crop tops or short tees. The perfect modern-meets-retro-look in two pieces. Modern cuts, prints or fabrics make these looks not that predictable and safe.
Prints don’t need extra companions as they talk for themselves.
When talking about accessories, we can go for statement jewelry (earrings, necklaces) or posh bags/ctuches. This allows us to add our personal style and avoid looking too coordinated. Plus, it gives the outfit a touch of sophistication and works perfectly for a night out or a posh event.
White is a staple look when we think of summer season. There are infinite ways to style a total white look, and all fabulous ones:
- Casual style: wearing a pair of ripped loose jeans and a basic tee with sneakers, flats or comfy wedges, all office appropriate;
- Sophisticated look: pairing wide palazzo pants with a silky top and gold jewelry;
- Beach Style: plaid long skirts, flowy maxi dresses or cotton beach dresses accessorized with a straw hat;
- Edgy: go for a bolder approach and try a white overall with a button down shirt or a crop top and high heel sandals;
- Night look: wearing dresses, red lips and posh accessories, big earrings and super high heels for a more polished outfit.
If you think about it, the sky’s the limit when it comes to this summer associated trend and there’s no reason to not try it, because, among other things, it is always to be in.
With tanned skin and the right accessories white pops more than any other colour. So let´s say hello to summers maximum trend!
As we know by now, retro items are a must this season. It’s like fashion world had some kind of a travel tunnel to go back to the past decades and reclaim the trends of the periods as our owns. And polka were massive back in the 60s.
Key to pull off polka dots, giving a retro touch to the outfit in a cool way without looking too cheesy or too granny, is to put them into today´s settings by mixing this classic print with modern items.
My favourites are big black polka dots over light colours, specially white, and in mini dresses.
Best thing about this print is his versatility, you can create different styles and all of them very trendy and cool: a retro inspired look, with midi lengths and white accessories (bags, booties and outwear); edgy with leather jackets, chokers and metallics; or romantic and sophiticated with cap sleeves and high waisted jeans.
Hope you guys like it and wish you a super juicy week ahead!
