Weather we like it or not, puffer coats are officially back.
Truth is, I never liked them. But, it’s cold outside, I want to stay warm and there are some basic strategies to pulling it off, so why fight it?
This fundamentally unflattering item can be a bit challenging to wear, but the practicality and cozyness of it makes it totally worth the try. So, if you associate the jacket with athleisure or ski slopes (as I used to), let me give you a few tips that would totally change your mind.
Key to pull them off is to balance the volume with other slim-fitting items. Wide leg-pants would look amazing too when paired with fitted tops, an oversize style not only keeps you warm but looks cool too. Same goes for oversized knits and fitted bottoms, like skinny jeans or pencil skirts. Both styles are perfectly on-trend.
Other thing to keep in mind if you want to make this look work in a high-fashion way, is to embrace the femleisure trend: try to pair your puffer coat with a slip dress, a sequined skirt or killer heels. The marriage of ultra-girly and athletic-inspired pieces is the coolest way to dress right now and this combination makes you look polished without trying too hard.
Hope you guys like it and wish you a super juicy weekend!
